How to Apply
Firstly you will need to set up a profile at www.fonterra.com/careers
Once you have set up a profile and selected the job category you are interested in you will receive an email as relevant vacancies open.
Our recruitment process is designed to help us get to know you. It's important for us to learn about your personality, talents and the skills you would bring to Fonterra. To do this, we take our interns through a four-step application process.

Stage One - Online Application and CV |

To ensure we receive your application, you must apply through this website. To complete the step in our recruitment process, you need to fill in the online application form. We also need your CV and grade point average (GPA).
Some CV Tips
Keep your CV brief but make sure it clearly states:
- Contact details
- Education
- Previous work experience - roles and dates of employment, main achievements
- Names and contact details of three referees, eg, previous employers, lecturers
- Keep the format of your CV simple – use bullet points and headings
- Review the competencies in ‘What we look for’. Think about how you have exhibited these in the past
- Do your homework on Fonterra – research our website and recent news/articles

Clarification Call |

The clarification call is a good opportunity for you to highlight your background, career goals and work experiences.

Phone Interview |

All successful applicants will be phone interviewed.
The phone interviewis designed to give you the opportunity to demonstrate your strengths through a variety of questions.

Reference Checks |

Verbal references will be taken prior to offers being extended to successful candidates (written references will not be considered).
Make sure you talk to your referees and ask their permission for Fonterra to contact them.
Your three referees should ideally be previous or current employers (including managers and peers). Other valid referees include university lecturers, sports coaches etc. Ask your referees for the best contact number for Fonterra to reach them on.
Following reference checks, job offers are made to successful candidates.
