Fonterra Tanker Operators work on a rostered shift pattern
Kauri Depot is 4 days on, 2 days off, 4 nights on, 2 days off. However our drivers are currently trialling a new shift pattern from April through to September of 2 days on, 2 nights on, 4 days off.
All other depots are 3 days on, 3 nights on, 3 days off.
More than a driver, our Tanker Operators are the face of Fonterra at the farm-gate and on the road. They are professional drivers, with high industry standards and a commitment to everyone's health and safety.
To be a Fonterra Tanker Operator, you'll need to be one of the best drivers in the industry to meet our standards and get through our demanding assessment programme - a phone interview, an on-road driving test in one of our tankers, an interview at the depot, testing on the road code and a full pre-employment drug and medical assessment.
You'll hold a clean Class 5 licence with accreditation or have a 1 year minimum experience driving combination vehicles within the last 6 years.
We have one of the best rates of pay in the industry with an attractive salary and superannuation scheme, generous annual leave, sick leave and medical insurance, full induction and training and a company uniform - so we expect the best drivers!
You will also need to be physically fit, willing to commit to Fonterra's high health and safety standards and work as part of a team.
