Voting for Fonterra Board of Directors' election underway

Voting for the Fonterra Board of Directors’ election opened today with Voter Packs being sent to Fonterra shareholders.

This year there are five candidates standing for the three positions on the Board of Directors. They are Ian Farrelly, Gavin Faull, Neil Walker and the two current Directors Malcolm Bailey and Henry van der Heyden. All five candidates have taken part in the Candidate Assessment Panel (CAP) process.

There is no election for the Directors’ Remuneration Committee as the two candidates, Ron Ferriman and Gerard Wolvers, were elected unopposed.

On-line secure voting is again available this year via Fencepost.com. Fax voting and postal voting can also be used.

Voting closes at 12 noon on Tuesday 25 September 2007 and results will be announced by the Shareholders’ Council Chairman at the Annual Meeting at Mystery Creek Convention Centre, Hamilton on Wednesday 26 September 2007. All shareholders will be advised of the election results in a letter from the Board Chair.

Fonterra Shareholders have the opportunity to meet Director candidates and ask them questions at the following Directors’ Election Candidate Roadshow meetings.
