TAUPO™

NZMP TAUPO cheese is a semi-hard, rindless cheese.

It has a milky, balanced cheese flavour and a smooth, almost plastic texture.

Named after New Zealand's largest lake, TAUPO™ cheese was developed with the creamy flavour profile desired by the Japanese market. It is suitable in any application requiring a premium cheese for shredding and dicing.

Characterised by a low fat content, TAUPO™ Cheese is manufactured and ripened to develop and maintain its functional performance.

  • Uniform, pale, creamy colour
  • Firm, smooth, plastic body
  • Lower fat content
  • Good stretch and reduced oil off (oil separation) when baking
  • Minimal fine lines on shredding
  • Minimal sticking or crumbling when shredded, diced, or sliced
